This release includes significant improvements to the visitor registration analytics.

User journey tracking

Displays information about the visitors navigation activity (requires visitor registration page enabled).

Tracks links clicked on each page, including the following information:

  • Date and time of the click

  • Type of link clicked (e.g., internal page, external resource, file download)

  • Component

    • Each element on a web page can have a name defined. For example, if you add a banner image at the top, you may choose to name it "Banner". The name of the element is the first thing shown for each click event if defined, or else the element type (e.g. Text, Image, Container).

    • Note: while the Menu component can be named, the individual items of a menu are not, so all clicks to menu items will display "LinkTree" in the component name

  • Link URL

Only elements that have a link associated are tracked. For example, a click to an image is not tracked, but if a link has been associated with that image (e.g. to open a web page), it will be tracked.

Click information is organized by date and grouped by the page that the click originated from.

Notes:

  • Analytics displayed in this section may take a few minutes to be processed by the system.

  • Tracking of click events is currently only supported on links that contain latin based character sets, Support for non latin based character sets (Chinese / Japanese / Arabic etc) will be provided in a future release.

  • Clicks on interaction triggers are not currently tracked on published pages, support for this will be included in a future release

โ€‹Return visits tracking

Track users that return to the website within a specific time frame (referred as "Return Visits.")

A return visit is defined as any visit that occurs after 1 hour of inactivity.

Return visits are separated from the normal clicks, by a blank space between sessions, displaying the dates ranges considered in the interval, to help users identify when a new session begins.
