These settings can be viewed by anyone, but can only be set by the owner of the workspace (account)

Default settings currently contains the following:

  1. SEO default settings for Index / Follow

  2. Geographical access control / Geoblocking

To access the Default Settings, click the Profile Icon on the top right of the screen to display the dropdown menu

  • You will see the new “Default Settings” option

  • Click this to view the Default Settings screen

The “Default Settings” screen currently has 2 x tabs

  1. SEO Settings

  2. Geo Access Control

The view can be changed by selecting either tab as shown below

SEO settings allows you to enforce the following for any websites published from your account:

  1. The Index / Follow settings a website will have when published / republished

  2. If the user is allowed to change these settings

Both Index and Follow can be set individually, ie it is possible to have any combination of Index / Follow, and also allow / disallow editing

For example if you want no Index or Follow for any websites, you would have settings as shown below:

  1. Both Index and Follow unchecked

  2. Both Index and Follow “Disallow Editing” set to On

  3. Click “Save Changes” button to save current settings

Geographic Access Control Settings allows you to block specific countries from viewing websites published from your account

  1. Click the dropdown to select countries one at a time from the list

  2. Countries that have been selected to be blocked will appear below the dropdown list

    1. “No blocked countries” is the default setting before any selections have been made

As you select countries, a check mark will appear next to the country to confirm the selection

Click all the countries that you wish to block from the list

  1. When your selection is complete, click the dropdown arrow on the right of the box to collapse the list

  2. The countries selected to be blocked will now be listed below

  3. To remove any blocked countries, click the Trash icon beside the specific country

  4. Click “Save Changes” button to save current settings

Reset Button - this applies globally to ALL Default Settings, not just the tab you are currently in

  • This will reset any UNSAVED changes in ALL tabs

  • Note that any changes that have not been saved in ANY tab, will be reset by this button

    • eg if you make changes to the “SEO settings” tab, but do not save them, and then click to the “Geo Access Control” tab and click the “Reset” Button, unsaved changes within the SEO settings tab will be lost

  1. Remember to click “Save Changes” button to save any settings you made

  2. When you are finished with the Default Settings, click the “x” in the top right corner to exit
